62  Annual Report Report on equal employment opportunities programme in terms of the Crown Entities Act 2004, section 151 (1)(g) The Law Commission complies with the principles of being a good employer. It operates personnel policies containing provisions generally accepted as necessary for the fair and proper treatment of its employees in all aspects of their employment. It provides good and safe working conditions to its employees. It provides opportunities for the enhancement of the abilities of individual employees. The Commission also recognises the aims and aspirations and employment requirements and cultural differences of ethnic or minority groups. The Commission operates an equal employment opportunities policy where the best person for the job is employed. The Commission has flexible employment arrangements, for example, to cater for those with childcare responsibilities and those approaching retirement. 80% of employees as at the balance date are women. Report on acts in breach of statute in terms of the Crown Entities Act 2004, section 20(3) The Law Commission did not carry out any act that is contrary to, or outside the authority of an Act. All its actions were for the purpose of performing its functions. Report on permission to act despite being interested in a matter in terms of the Crown Entities Act 2004, section 68(6) The Law Commission did not receive any notice from any member of the Commission that he or she was interested in a matter relating to the Commission.
