Forecast statement of service performance
The Law Commission provides its services to the Government through
Vote: Justice Non-departmental Output Class One (Policy Advice)
For the year ending 30 June 2010 in relation to Output Class One
(Policy Advice), the Law Commission expects to:
earn $4.8 million in revenue from the Crown, $0.084 million in
interest revenue and $0.015 million from the sale of its publications;
and
incur expenses of $5.094 million.
For the purposes of measuring the Commissionfs performance on an
annual basis, policy advice covers:
Law reform projects;
Legislation quality advice provided through the LAC to support it in
reviewing draft bills and submissions;
Legislation design advice provided on request to government agencies
through the LDC; and
Other ad hoc advice provided in response to requests for assistance
may include Ministerial briefing papers, draft legislation, briefing
papers for officials and advice to Select Committees.
