The Law Commission has a vacancy for a Legal and Policy Adviser.
The Law Commission is an independent Crown entity that undertakes a range of law reform projects and provides advice to Ministers and public sector agencies, as requested.
Legal and Policy Advisers provide legal and policy research and analysis, contribute to future options formulation and publish reports under the direction of Commissioners and Senior Legal and Policy Advisers.
Applicants must have outstanding legal academic qualifications, proven research skills, an appreciation of the broader setting of the law and the law-making process and the ability to write in the Law Commission style is required.
The level at which the Commission appoints Legal and Policy Advisers is determined having regard to an individual candidate's skills and experience. We are looking to fill this vacancy with a person who has at least five years' legal or policy experience.
